Betty C. Wang, M.D. is a licensed, board-certified adult psychiatrist with training in Child and Adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Wang has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of individuals of all age groups and has helped clients navigate a wide range of mental health concerns including autism, eating disorders, ADHD, challenges with identity, women's mental health, trauma, and addiction. Dr. Wang approaches care with a nuanced and holistic perspective in order to deeply understand the individual and their environment. Her practice focuses on evidence-based treatment through medication management and psychotherapy.

Dr. Wang is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based patient-and family-centered care. She tailors her treatment plans to the unique biopsychosocial needs of her patients, who may benefit from medication, psychotherapy, or a combination of both. Above all, Dr. Wang aims to foster a warm and supportive environment throughout the course of evaluation and treatment.

As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Wang deeply believes in the collaborative care environment. She works closely with families, schools, pediatricians, neuropsychologists, and therapists to develop a comprehensive model of engagement that supports a child or adolescent in their time of need.  Her approach includes supportive therapy, play therapy, family sessions, and developmentally appropriate cognitive and psychodynamic therapies.

Dr. Wang completed her general psychiatry residency and her child and adolescent fellowship through the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and serves as the medical director of a major community health clinic in NYC.
